Wisconsin ESL Institute (WESLI) began teaching English in 1981 and has since earned an excellent reputation with universities, educational agencies, and students from all over the world. They offer a variety of intensive English programs to help students achieve their personal, professional, and academic goals, including General English, English Plus, University Pathways, Test Preparation, Business English, Tutoring, and a Teacher Training Program. Students from all over the world have had satisfying, memorable cross-cultural experiences at WESLI and in Madison. WESLI averages 100 students per session.

WESLI has 7 levels of English instruction. These classes are for every English level, beginner to advanced. A variety of topics are offered: American Culture, Business English, Academic Preparation, Test Preparation, and more. In addition, they offer private tutoring and customized programs. They have agreements with over 40 universities and colleges that accept students without a TOEFL score. WESLI English Online allows students anywhere in the world to improve their English on their own time through online tutoring. They offer monthly start dates. In addition to their intensive English programs, they also have a 5-week Teacher Training (TEFL Certification) Program with a 30-hour Practicum.

WESLI is in downtown Madison, the capital of Wisconsin. Madison is located in the southern part of Wisconsin and is near 2.5 hours by car from Chicago, Illinois, 1 hour by car from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is a diverse city with a population of 300,000 and large enough to offer the cultural advantages of a big city. It is also small enough to be safe, friendly, and comfortable.

Tuition = one full-time 4-week session of General English Essential (24 hours/week) is $2,120. If you study for more than 4 weeks — for 8 weeks, 16 weeks, or even 48 weeks, for example — you will receive a discounted rate depending on the number of weeks in your study plan. For example, tuition for 8 weeks is only $3,520, saving you $720 off the 4-week rate.

Health Insurance = ($120 /month). Health insurance is required unless you already have insurance from your country. It is charged monthly at the first day of each month.
